Camp Sangre Valiente Week
June 5, 2017 - June 10, 2017
Every summer, Sangre de Oro hosts a camp for children diagnosed with a blood disorder, siblings of children with bleeding disorders (both step and adopted), and children of individuals with bleeding disorders.
The purpose of Camp is to provide kids with a fun-free getaway where they can engage in activities, in an environment, that is safe and free-of-charge. Camp always has a medical staff on hand, including one physician, two nurses, a social worker, and a physical trainer. Parents and kids can rest-easy knowing that if any medical issue should arise, it will be attended to immediately. The medical staff also works with the children on learning how to infuse. All campers are directed to take any necessary medication before all daily activities in order to prevent a bleeding emergency. This great program is funded through our generous donors and the Caliente Classic Golf Tournament.
Communications will be sent out regarding drop-off and pick-up times.
Camp Applications were due on May 1st.
