Women’s Group

Blood sisterhood provides a supportive and safe atmosphere for women who are affected by bleeding disorders. We promise a code of silence at the beginning of each event and are forbidden to repeat what we hear in these meetings. The code of silence allows us to open up freely with the comfort that our personal story will stay within the room. The setting allows spouses, bleeders, caregivers, mothers, sisters, and any other role, a place to open up and connect. The personal relatable stories give a common foundation for women to laugh together and cry together. The bond from the blood sister’s connection provides an understanding that the women are not alone in their day-to-day life. The coping skills that are offered are with the goal that our blood sisters will feel supported rather than isolated in their lives. The objective is strengthen the women in our community so that they feel like they have a voice and understanding from other women in our community
