Breaking Blood Men’s Group

Sangre de Oro, Inc. offers a support group for any male with a bleeding disorder. The group allows men to tell their stories and share the difficult times in their lives in a private setting. All men who participate in this group take a code-of-silence to respect the privacy of their Blood Brothers. The group discusses obstacles in managing their bleeding disorder and side-effects of medication, new treatments, and financial assistance. The group allows the men the opportunity to network and make connections that assist in coping with their bleeding disorder. These connections are life changing moments shared by an understanding of pains and limitations due to bleeding disorders. Blood Brothers share their relationship and family problems issues that arise with having a bleeding disorder and ways that the bleeding disorder affects their closest relationships. The bond that is built between our Blood Brothers is a lifelong support for coping skills needed to prevail and manage a bleeding disorder through the understanding from other group members.
